Launched in 1988 by two of Britain's most beloved comic creators, Brett Ewins and Steve Dillon, DEADLINE was the unruly mash-up of comics, music, and youth culture that defined a generation. It didn't just publish Tank Girl - it launched her into the cultural stratosphere. With its blend of cutting-edge art, indie band features, and countercultural attitude, DEADLINE became the voice of a pissed-off, pluggedin, post-punk UK.

A1 was created by Dave Elliott and Garry Leach in 1986 and launched in 1989. It was a creator-owned anthology that let the most daring voices in comics run wild - from Moebius and Bill Sienkiewicz to Eddie Campbell and Alan Moore. A1 became the experimental playground for some of the most influential creators of the last four decades.
